Balu Sir,
Calling my selves a big fan of yours is an understatement. I live and die for your solo songs. Being a modest singer myselves, try to imitate you all the time. Everyday I fight my friends when they rank you after Rafi , Kishore and other great singers. I come to tears everytime explaining your greatness to them. Poor souls never were exposed to lot of south indian songs.
I am on the other hand listen to all the singers but only to choose to sing yours.
I have a dream. I wish GOD be benevalent enough to bestow that upon me. I wish I could watch you sing in a studio. I wish I could...just for once in my lifetime.
I know you are the dearest to the GOD. If not how else anyone could explain the "VOICE" and the "VERSATALITY" .
With that in mind I wish YOU be benevalent enough to let me watch you prepare for a song in a studio. Will my dream ever come true? SPB willing it will :)

Baluji is more than a singer, more than a humanitarian, and more than everything. Even he is a top singer and guinness reccorder, his simplicity and magnanimity is unbelievable. His reccord is un achievable. He has done everything in the film music. How Sivaji Ganesan has done in acting Baluji has done the same in singing. People will love his voice as long as the earth rotates.
In personnal I am very proud of being SPB's fan for a period of 26 years.

SPB has been my inspiration from my college days and before. I have listened to several of his film songs. I practiced singing to his songs. It helped me learn voice modulation from the maestro himself. Practicing Karaoke with SPB tapes is the best thing I have done to learn singing. People have asked me if I have learned singing professionally. That is in itself a compliment, when I learned my singing with SPB tapes for years. It helped me develop my voice.
SPB has a great mellifluous, melodious voice that is GOD given. He is the most versatile singer that India has produced. We should be proud of his contributions to the entertainment industry. All his Tamil songs are my favorites. My best song is "Ithu Oru Ponn Malai Pozhuthu" because the poetry is so fabulous and SPB renders it gracefully. It brings nostalgic memories of a beautiful God given sunset as he sings it.
SPB - I doubt if there will be another singer to fill his shoes. May God give him another 100,000 songs or more. I thank God for his songs to us.
